The Bachelorette fans already don’t trust new contestant Spencer

Right now, we’re all still feeling out the latest batch of suitors on season 16 of The Bachelorette. And as we know all too well by now, first impressions are everything.

With that said, it looks like Tayshia Adams might see something special in the man she gave her first impression rose to that the audiences just can’t. Not yet, anyway.

On the Twitter-verse, it seems that Spencer Robertson has yet to win Bachelor Nation fans over, even if he seems on the right track to win Tayshia’s heart. When the new Bachelorette gave out her first impression rose, one person tweeted, “New guy Spencer getting the first impression rose over Ivan??? Zac??? Ben??? No Tayshia no.” And many others seconded that “no.”

The general consensus is that fans don’t see what all the fuss is about, nor do they think Spencer’s first impression was all that impressive. Many people also claimed that he gave off You energy, meaning he seemed sort of like the stalker Penn Badgley plays in the Netflix series. Can we trust him?

Some Twitter users are even calling it a conspiracy of sorts, claiming there’s no way Tayshia would’ve chosen Spencer on her own.

Sticking to their guns, one user tweeted, “No one can convince me that the producers didn’t set that up.” Ouch.

Not everyone is against Spencer, however. One supportive fan tweeted, “These guys don’t like Spencer, but I have no complaints. He is easy on the eyes.” And there’s no denying that much. After all, the Bachelorette newcomer seems to have instantly caught Tayshia’s eye when he was introduced on Tuesday night.

As we previously reported, Spencer Robertson is a 30-year-old water treatment engineer from California. And from is Instagram page, at least, he seems to be an A-Okay guy. You can check out his Instagram account here.

Moving forward, there’s no doubt that the fans have the latest Bachelorette’s back and will keep their eye on Spencer. Other contestants might not like him or trust him any more than some fans do, but Tayshia seems to like him. And that’s really all that matters in the end, isn’t it?

And let’s not forget, this is only the beginning. Time will tell if Tayshia falls for Spencer, or if the fans got it right early on.
