Last night’s episode of The Bachelorette was a breath of fresh air as Tayshia Adams began her journey towards finding love!

Last night’s episode of The Bachelorette started with Tayshia greeting the 16 remaining guys from Clare’s cast. Everyone was smiling, and it seemed like all the guys had forgotten about Clare. Some of the compliments were that Tayshia had great energy and commanded a room. She chatted with many of the guys before an unexpected limo pulled up to the hotel.

The existing guys weren’t thrilled to see the limo, and as a result, the four new guys  Spencer, Montel, Peter, and Noah didn’t receive a warm welcome. Spencer was rocking the boat with his sarcastic comments and snagging Tayshia for a chat before everyone else.

The tension stayed elevated all night, mostly when the first impression rose arrived. But Tayshia managed to get to know the guys, and everyone seemed to have a good time. Spencer received the first impression rose, which gave some of the guys a bitter taste. The mood lifted when Tayshia canceled the rose ceremony.

The Bachelorette Season 16, Episode 5 recap: Checking in with Clare and Dale

The episode took a brief turn when Chris Harrison decided to check in with Clare and Dale. They both were happy and shared that they never spoke before meeting on the show. Chris asked them what was next, and Clare interrupted Dale and said, babies. The interview awkwardly ended then.

The good times continued when the guys found out everyone was getting a date that week. The first group date was a basketball competition in the pool. There were a few minor injuries, and the guys continued not to like Spencer very much. Tayshia and Eazy bonded during the cocktail hour after the group date. They were both giddy around each other. Tayshia called Eazy’s personality infectious and gave him the group date rose by the end of the night.

Jason couldn’t get past his feelings for Clare and decided to leave. He didn’t want to take time away from the other guys or waste Tayshia’s time. She had a hard time saying goodbye to him, but he assured her one of the other 19 guys would be perfect for her.

Brendan had the first individual date with Tayshia. She rode in on a horse and whisked him away. Chris popped up on several occasions, offering them treats. They made their way to the pool and finally shared a private kiss without Chris nearby.

Tayshia and Brendan had a great conversation during dinner. But there was something on his mind that he was so afraid of telling Tayshia. He had been married and divorced already in his early 20s. But Tayshia shared that she had also been married and divorced. They bonded over their hardships and grew much closer together.

Their night ended with a beautiful fireworks show–which the other contestants were privy to on the other side of the resort.

And that’s a wrap on this week’s recap of The Bachelorette! Don’t forget to join us next week as Tayshia continues her journey towards everlasting love. Will it go without any hiccups? Likely not, but we’re along for the ride either way!
