Dancing with the Stars Week 9: Kaitlyn Bristowe dances the Tango and Cha-Cha

Kaitlyn Bristowe and her partner Artem Chigvintsev had a great week performing the Argentine Tango and the Cha-Cha on Dancing With The Stars!
It’s the week before the semifinals on ABC’s Dancing With The Stars! Where has the time gone? It seems like just yesterday Chris Harrison was giving Kaitlyn Bristowe the exciting news that she would be performing on this season, and now we’re just a couple of weeks away from the finale!
This week was “Icon Night” on Dancing With The Stars, honoring musical icons in both costume and song choice. It was jam-packed with multiple dances from each pair, and the competition is stiffer than ever.
The last couple of weeks have been particularly difficult for Kaitlyn and Carrie Ann Inaba after Carrie Ann said she felt bullied for the way she has judged Kaitlyn. However, this week started off on a more positive note as Kaitlyn and Artem performed an Argentine Tango to the tune of a very interesting cover of “Toxic” by icon Britney Spears!
This performance was all the things: sharp, sultry, and successful! It’s evident Kaitlyn has taken the notes from the judges telling her to “attack” more! Attack she did, and the judges could not have been more impressed!
Kaitlyn and Artem’s amazing performance earned them a perfect score from the judges! Derek gave Kaitlyn a slow clap and said the dance truly had “impact.” Bruno complimented her “focus and intensity,” and Carrie Ann said, “every line was amazing.” She even gave the pair a standing ovation, and the two women put to bed any perception of bad blood between them.
Kaitlyn and Artem then geared up for a Cha-Cha dance-off against Justina and Sasha! The two pairs danced to the Gaga and Beyonce classic “Telephone” (haven’t heard that one in years!) I love both these pairs of dancers, so I didn’t know who I wanted to win!
In the end, Justina’s “spice” carried her further and she earned two extra points from the judges. Thankfully and unsurprisingly, Kaitlyn and Artem were still safe from elimination. Sadly, AJ and Cheryl were sent home this week. They will be missed, but the show must go on!

This was a truly great episode of Dancing With The Stars, and the semifinals are only a week away!
