Derek Peth gets engaged to model Saffron Vadher

Congratulations are in order! Derek Peth, who you might remember from Bachelor in Paradise season 4 and season 6, along with JoJo Fletcher‘s season of The Bachelorette, is an engaged man.

Derek had been dating model Saffron Vadher publicly since March of this year, and the pair often show off sweet photos with one another on Instagram. Fans will remember that Derek’s final shot at love on the ABC franchise led to him leaving BiP early, after his split from Demi Burnett.

As reported by US Weekly, Derek took to Instagram and Twitter to share the exciting news. “She said yes!!!, he tweeted, while he shared a video of the couple smiling and celebrating to his Instagram Story.

Wells Adams and fiancé Sarah Hyland both shared their congratulations to the newly-engaged couple on Instagram, posting the video Derek shared to their own pages. We’re sure that as more Bachelor Nation alums see the news this morning, they’ll start sharing their own messages of congrats as well.

Prior to Saffron, Derek had been engaged to Taylor Nolan, who he met on BiP season 4. The two called it quits nearly a year later, releasing a joint statement to explain their unfortunate decision.

“It is with much sadness that we have decided to end our engagement. We put everything we could into our relationship and are heartbroken to go forward separately, but we know this is the best decision for the both of us,” they said to Entertainment Tonight. “We will still be present in each other’s lives with support, admiration and respect for each other.”

Nowadays, Taylor is dating a man named Zach, who she met in September 2019. The two often share photos together on Instagram, looking cute and happy. We love to see it!

We’re so excited for Derek and this next chapter in his life. Though some Bachelor Nation stars have had to postpone their weddings this year due to COVID-19 (including Wells), it’s still super exciting to hear that he popped the question.
