Top 3: The Bachelorette Season 16, episode 3 rankings
Things got crazy on Tuesday night’s episode of The Bachelorette Season 16 as the drama amped up as Clare pretended to be on a love journey with any other destination besides Dale.
The Bachelorette Season 16 continues this week with a Chris Harrison interjection break-up, a comedy roast that our star did not appreciate, and a rose given to no one. Basically, Bachelor Nation exclaimed more “WTF’s!” than any other episode I can remember. And when I say Bachelor Nation, I may or may not be referring to myself.
To put it mildly, there were several clear losers on this week’s episode and it was brutal to watch. Yosef burned himself with his continued strip dodgeball confrontation and was canceled almost immediately. No one was upset with his exit, but still.
Zach J. tried his best when he finally had the chance to have a one on one date with the Bachelorette only to crash and burn so badly that Clare couldn’t even send him home herself. (Really, Clare? You couldn’t even face him and do it yourself??)
The guys on the group date got ready for their day date then sat around for hours doing nothing when Clare stood them up without any explanation. Clare, you can’t ghost the dudes you share a not-that-big resort with.
But who were the winners from this debacle of an episode? Besides you know who. Since Clare refuses to follow the rules of the show, I too will not be following the rules and therefore excluding her so-called “fiancé,” Dale from this week’s rankings of The Bachelorette Season 16. Sorry, not sorry.
#1: Bennett
The man who roasted Clare’s true love the hardest takes our top spot in the power rankings this week. Yes, the roast king himself, Bennett.
Bennett spun out numerous hot burns during the comedy roast topping things off with a mic drop at the end of his set as the icing on the “We Hate Dale” cake. Clare thought it was the worst, Bachelor Nation and the other guys thought it was the best, and Bennett successfully claims his place as the guy we thought we would despise who we now love. Props to you Bennett for going so hard and spitting the truth.
#2: Chasen
When no one else wanted to take the hit and interrupt the junior high level of making out that had already happened once during the cocktail party, Chasen was the brave soldier who came between Clare and Dale and their suction cup lips for the good of the group. The very same Chasen who many originally believed to be nothing more than a glorified frat bro. This, good sir, puts you in second place this week in the rankings.
But seriously is Chasen growing on anyone else? He came in so hot with no regard to the level of undress he might see or the level of spit that might fly in his direction once he came into the splash zone. Thank you, Chasen, for preventing all of Bachelor Nation from witnessing another 15 minutes of unnecessary lip-lock.
#3: Chris Harrison
Finally this week, we have another non-traditional pick, but a very well deserved mention for the real hero of this episode: Chris Harrison.
My man had to console Clare after the Yosef situation then had to dump Zach J. when our Bachelorette couldn’t handle it and then had to suffer through the roast aka Clare’s sob-fest after Dale was trolled into the ground. He just does so much for us. Chris, please accept this 3rd place in the rankings as a token of our appreciation for holding this dumpster fire of a season together.
Tune in next week to see if anyone besides Dale gets any screen time or if Bennett gets the ax for his Dale roast.
The Bachelorette Season 16 will air next week’s episode on Thursday instead of Tuesday due to election coverage–remember to take note of the day change!
