The Bachelorette season 16 is fully underway and honestly, people have feelings about many aspects about the show right now. From Clare Crawley being pretty infuriating with her choices, to now-ex-contestant Yosef Aborady shocking us with his uncalled for freak-out, we’re just plain old tired with the way the episodes are going so far.

Bennett from The Bachelorette

However, there’s been one extremely surprising saving grace who is practically getting us through each week: Contestant Bennett Jordan. Yes, we know we were all so unfair towards him at the start of the season. But now, he’s practically become the best part. Let me explain why.

So when Clare’s season started, we of course judged all of the contestants with a pretty critical eye. We totally loved anesthesiologist Joe Park, and were intrigued with Kenny Braasch’s job as a boy band manager. But when it came to Bennett, we were kind of out.

Let me share with you part of his ABC bio, and you’ll understand why:

"Bennett says he is the total package. Handsome? Check. Great job? Check. Mature and ready to find his wife? Check! So why is he single, you may be wondering? According to Bennett, he hasn’t always been “this successful and good looking.” Bennett grew up in Atlanta, Georgia, and attended Harvard where he says he finally grew into himself."

So fast forward to the season premiering, and Bennett actually surprised us. Yes, he dropped the Harvard card very early on, but since then he’s been hilarious, wholesome, and straight-up a joy to watch!

Fans on Twitter have been gushing about how cute and funny he is, and were upset when he was basically deserted by Clare. In episode 2, right before Clare’s big confrontation with the men when she asked them if anyone wanted to hang out with her, Bennett had actually asked to chat with her.

Not even midway through his conversation with Clare did she leave and go scold the other contestants. Did she ever come back for Bennett? No, she did not. Justice for our man!

In episode 3, Bennett had his time to shine during the roast show, and though the way he performed his jokes was pretty stale and monotone, it was still fun to see him up on stage nonetheless.

With Tayshia Adams coming into The Bachelorette lead role sooner than later, we have to wonder if our favorite contestant will make it far with her. In the meantime, please enjoy some funny tweets all about how much people love Bennett.

Here’s to hoping we see him on the next Bachelor in Paradise!

Was that the most awkward episode of all time?. dark. Next
