Clare Crawley breaks silence after being spotted with a diamond on her ring finger

Hold up–is Clare Crawley just blatantly walking around in public with an engagement ring on? We all know the reports about her and Dale Moss falling in love and leaving her season of The Bachelorette early, but is their rumored engagement just something we’re all supposed to know by now?

No, not exactly. So don’t freak out, Bachelor Nation!

The buzz all began when Page Six published photos this week (which you can see here) of the 39-year-old reality star going for a nice walk in Sacramento, California. The major element to the pics which caught everyone’s attention was the fact that Clare was rocking a diamond on her ring finger. Uh, hello?!

The stunning rock on Clare’s ring finger caused quite the commotion, so much so that the hairstylist herself jumped onto Instagram to give us all some clarity.

Posing with the gorgeous ring in a Boomerang video, Clare showed off both the dazzling rock and her beautiful green eyes. In her caption, the Bachelorette leading lady explained that she had actually bought the ring for herself as an act of self-love.

Definitely adorable, but definitely alarming for fans to see without context! She wrote:

"People have noticed I wear this ring on my wedding finger, and have asked why! The truth is because it is a commitment to myself first and foremost, to embody self-love."

She went on to explain why learning to love herself is so important, adding:

"In the past I found myself getting into relationships where there was little to no reciprocity, and in the end would feel depleted and empty. This is my promise to myself, to make sure I always had enough self love that no matter what happened, I was committed to loving myself unconditionally, and that is something no man could take away from me."

Clare was showered with love in the comments section, with Bachelor Nation members such as Mike Johnson leaving messages of support. Fans of the star even admitted that they also wanted to buy themselves a ring. It’s a cute idea, we’ll admit!

This Bachelor alum has obviously had a few failures at trying to find love on TV, as we’ve seen many times with contestants on the ABC franchise. Even if this time it doesn’t work out for her (although we have plenty of reason to believe it does, with Dale!), at least we know that Clare has enough love for herself to make it through any difficult situation.
