The Bachelorette’s Clare Crawley might have fallen head over heels for Dale Moss, but the two surprisingly don’t follow one another on social media.

Season 16 of The Bachelorette might have just begun, but fans can’t get enough of Clare Moss and her rumored frontrunner Dale Moss!

Sparks quickly flew between Clare and Dale on premiere night as Clare was immediately swept off her feet by the former NFL star, who left her nearly speechless. In fact, as Clare openly confessed to the cameras following their encounter, “I definitely feel like I just met my husband. I’m shaking.” The sparks continued to fly throughout the night with Clare giving her first impression to Dale and ABC doubled down on the rumors with its “This season on” promo which included a passionate scene in which Clare and Dale snuggled up with one another in bed.

Although Clare’s season has only just begun, it’s clear there is something between the pair and it definitely seems safe to assume there’s something to those rumors.

Given how the two have been drawn to one another immediately, one might assume they’d quickly take to social media to follow each other. After all, in this day and age of social media, a follow on Instagram and Twitter is always a positive sign and key step in a relationship.

So perhaps that’s what makes it so surprising that Clare and Dale do not follow one another on Instagram, Twitter, or any social media platform for that matter!

Why doesn’t The Bachelorette’s Clare Crawley follow Dale Moss on social media?

If Clare Crawley truly fell as hard for Dale Moss as the internet reports she has, why exactly aren’t the two following one another on Instagram or Twitter? Fear, not, there’s a reasonable explanation behind why the two rumored love birds aren’t following one another publically via social media.

Like contestants on every reality series, the Bachelorette and her suitors have to follow a lengthy  (and crazy) list of rules to help make filming go smoothly and to help prevent as many spoilers as possible from the season.

Much like the contestants on Big Brother, The Bachelorette cast is cut off from the outside world while filming with no internet, no phone and no TV. Additionally, the Bachelorette cannot be seen in public with the men from her season — especially, the season’s winner. Although unconfirmed, it’s likely the same rule applies to social media as following someone on Instagram or Twitter could easily be seen as a spoiler.

As a result, Clare and Dale are presumably unable to follow one another on any social media platform until after the season — or at least Clare’s portion of the season — comes to a close.
