The Bachelor: Corinne Olympios looks back and tells all

Remember Corinne Olympios, the serial napper of Nick Viall’s season?

Corinne Olympios is one of the more memorable Bachelor Nation alums, and to this day, she’s someone we can’t quite forget. From her incessant napping to butting heads with every other woman in the house, she made quite the impression on Nick Viall.

We’ve always known her to be upfront and vocal, and all these years later, Corinne Olympios remains the same. Except this time around, she’s looking back at her days on The Bachelor with a bit of shock and regret. Or in her words, “I acted like a psychopath.”

While on Viall’s new Patreon series, Nick V Talks Trash TV: A Bachelor and His Exes Tell All, Olympios was very blunt and honest about her antics, which lasted all the way until hometown dates. Unfortunately for her, Viall sent her packing right after.

"I was a completely different human at the time. I tried to do whatever I could to get your attention. Everyone freaked out, but I don’t care because I got my time."

One thing we all know about Bachelor Nation shows that everything is edited for our dramatic viewing pleasure. It should come as no surprise that the production team ensures that anyone with the slightest dramatic edge will be exposed as such.

Corrine Olympios was the target for Nick’s season, and due to this, there were many things that were edited out to ensure she never seemed relatively normal.

"I was a little upset because I know what a good wife I will be one day and what a good girlfriend I am. So I felt like that side of me wasn’t shown. I felt like I looked like a bimbo."

We’ve seen this sort of thing happen time and time again throughout the many seasons of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette. You’ll recall there was an attempt to make Demi Burnett from Colton Underwood’s season look like a villain. Instead, Bachelor Nation fell in love with her and her blunt, no-nonsense attitude. Sometimes the production attempts to do one thing, but something entirely different happens.

I don’t think we can say the same about Corrine Olympios as people still view her as the girl who crated chaos and ruckus during Nick’s season. But she’s grown a lot since the days of The Bachelor, and has found love with boyfriend Vincent Fratantoni and a career as a standup comic that makes her happy and fulfilled.

Honestly, I’m happy for her. She’s a testament to the fact that these types of shows don’t always have to break you. Sure, you come on them with full knowledge of what you’re in for, but it doesn’t mean you’re prepared for it. Many have fallen hard after their time on the show, but many have grown tremendously, including Corinne.
