Did Becca Kufrin and Garrett Yrigoyen break up?

So is it true? Did Becca Kufrin and Garrett Yrigoyen really break up?

The Bachelor fans will remember Becca Kufrin as the contestant from the 22nd season who won Arie Luyendyk Jr.’s heart, but then got dumped on national TV for the runner-up. However, fast forward a few months, and Becca Kufrin was her own leading lady on the next season of The Bachelorette where she fell in love with contestant Garrett Yrigoyen.

Many Kufrin supporters were excited to see her so happy to find someone to go on Costco runs with and to share her corgi obsession with as they adopted their own cute dog. But what fans probably also remember was that after the finale of her season aired, Yrigoyen got in some hot water after liking posts that supported racism, mocked transgenders, feminists, immigrant children, and school shooting survivors.

He ended up deleting his Instagram account and apologizing online with a long statement, going as far as having Becca Kufrin discuss and defend this incident several times according to The Washington Post, despite her opposition to his political choices.

He also capped the incident with a brief acknowledgment to Chris Harrison on the live taping of their finale, stating that he wanted to use this as an opportunity to grow as an individual and as a couple.

Kind of a downer on their new out and proud moment as a couple, if you ask me.

But the couple persisted against all odds…

Despite all that, Kufrin and Yrigoyen continued to stay together and work through Kufrin’s long days of being out of state while she was hosting The Bachelor: Live on Stage tour with former Bachelor alum, Ben Higgins. Higgins also briefly discussed the situation during an interview with Us Weekly stating, “I can’t say anything more than I’ve seen them together. I’ve seen how much they love each other.”

Oops, he did it again

Recently, Yrigoyen found himself amidst headlines for the second time after sharing controversial posts during the Black Lives Matter protests. Just two years after the previous debacle, the couple found themselves in the not so flattering limelight once again.

With all eyes on them, Kufrin was quick to address her relationship status on her and former Bachelorette Rachel Lindsay’s podcast, Bachelor Happy Hour.

"For those who are curious about my relationship with Garrett at this point, all I can say right now is that I don’t know. I can’t give anything more than that. It’s something that we are trying to work through and discuss and do work on at home at this time and that’s where the work will remain and that’s really the best I can give you at this point."

While Becca Kufrin didn’t reveal much information to go off of, it didn’t stop Bachelor Nation sleuths and those following Yrigoyen on social media from noticing that his highlight reel “Becca Spills” on Instagram that featured Becca solely, was removed. Keep in mind, Becca’s highlight reel of Garrett is still intact and they are still following each other.

…And the plot thickens.

Earlier this week, several posts came out about their reported breakup, so Kufrin took it upon herself to comment on E!’s Instagram post discussing it.

"Lol interesting “source”. I mean if nothing else, the least you could do is spell the names correctly and consistently in your article."

While it appears that they have not been seen together in person or on social media, it seems like they are still working things out as per her defensive remark to their alleged breakup. Even if they decide to walk different paths after this, I know we all just want them to be happy–especially Kufrin who has been quite open about her past relationships.

Unfortunately (or fortunately), we may not get a response from her any time soon as she has supposedly been staying at the same resort the new season of The Bachelorette has been filming at?!

Whatever the reason, we can’t wait to see more of Becca Kufrin on the newest season–if that is the case!
