Clare Crawley has been looking up some of her contestants–and we totally get it

Clare Crawley is in a unique situation that no Bachelor Nation lead has ever had to face. With production shut down due to the coronavirus pandemic, Clare has had some time to prepare for her upcoming season.

Luckily, her wait is nearly over as production is said to begin in July in a quarantined location. But what has she been up to in the mean time? Apparently, she’s been Googling some of her contestants. She is all of us if we were in her shoes–I know I’d totally be doing the same.

While talking to Bachelor Nation alums Rachel Lindsay and Becca Kufrin on their podcast, “Bachelor Happy Hour”, Clare Crawley admitted to looking some of the men up. I’d imagine there have been some changes to the contestants since production was halted, but for those that have stuck around through the break, Clare is doing her utmost best to get some gossip on them before heading off to..well, wherever they are going.

"Obviously. What woman wouldn’t? Are you kidding me? I will say this. At first, I really didn’t. I really did not and it was because, I don’t know. I just kind of felt like I want to get to know them and regardless, I know how my Instagram is. It’s a piece of my life… You have to see and feel it in person and so regardless of what their life is and what it looks like on their Instagram, it’s nice to actually see them in person and I am huge on pheromones, so that’s like the end for me."

Social media isn’t always the best indicator for learning about someone, and I’d imagine whatever she might see on the internet may not be the best representation of someone. In fact, it could lead her to developing a bias and preconceived notions of what a person might be like. Social media is its own beast altogether, so I’m sure it’s been a tricky road for our dear Clare Crawley.

She didn’t share any interesting facts she learned about her contestants, however. But in any case,  given that Clare is looking up her contestants, it is a sure-fire guarantee that the contestants are doing the same. These are unusual circumstances so this would never be the case if things were happening as they normally do.

For any of Clare Crawley’s contestants, she just has one request of you all–know everything there is to know about her dogs. They are the apple of her eye, and the loves of her life. So, if you’re going to do your research, be sure to include the pups in it.

Oh, and if you’re allergic. Well, tough luck because these guys will not be going anywhere so along with that Neil Lane engagement ring, be sure to grab your Claritin as well. Just saying.

I think it’s safe to say we are all very excited for Clare Crawley to begin filming her season of The Bachelorette, which is going to be happening very soon according to her. In fact, she already knows what day she will officially begin so that’s exciting!
