JoJo’s dramatic hometown showdown

Okay, I cannot believe The Bachelor: Greatest Seasons Ever did not recap JoJo’s hometown date last night. I actually watched some of the episode back to make sure I didn’t miss it. The only reason I can think to exclude this is because JoJo has become a franchise favorite, she might not have wanted to re-air her family’s somewhat unflattering portrayal, and the show might have taken that into account. Or maybe they just didn’t have enough time! In any case, this crazy and amazing hometown needs to be remembered.

JoJo’s hometown in Dallas kicked off with the arrival of a bouquet of roses on her doorstep. Sweet, right? Wrong. It turns out they were from her ex-boyfriend, and production had ever so conveniently arranged for them to arrive when she just happened to be home for her date. Once JoJo and Ben had a heart to heart about moving on from their exes, they clearly thought the drama was over. But the best was yet to come in the form of JoJo’s two brothers. They were not buying the JoJo-Ben connection and had no problem saying so. Watching Ben struggle to defend himself while still attempting to come off as likable was truly amusing. The whole family (minus JoJo) got into a debate in the kitchen, and JoJo’s mom tried to deal by taking a swig from a bottle of champagne, thereby becoming the most enjoyable parent ever to appear on the The Bachelor.
