Colton Underwood has tested positive for the coronavirus–and has a message for anyone listening.

Colton Underwood took to social media to share that he tested positive for the coronavirus. He noted that he had begun feeling symptoms some days ago and opted to get tested. After getting the positive results, he wanted to share with the world what he’s currently experiencing along with a message pertaining to the coronavirus pandemic.

In his video, he insisted that no matter your age, it’s important to be vigilant and practice all the safety precautions. I appreciate that Colton Underwood took his social media platform to send this message. Quite often, folks look to celebrities to find guidance in what they should be doing, and act similarly. In these trying times, it’s important for the world to stick together, and of course, be as safe as possible. Kudos to anyone using their platform to send that message across!

In the video Underwood posted, he explained his current symptoms prior to the positive result and presently, stating it’s been “exhausting”.

"The reason I’m sharing this is not to cause fear or panic, but to hopefully encourage you guys to stay home, do your part, take care of yourselves, take care of one another."

Underwood joins a growing list of celebrities to recently share that they too have tested positive for the coronavirus. The list includes Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson, Idris Elba, Andy Cohen, amongst others.

As of now, Underwood is quarantining/isolating himself at girlfriend Cassie Randolph’s home in Huntington Beach along with her parents. Whether or not they were also tested is unknown at this time, but Underwood stated they were all in good spirits.

Along with Underwood’s positive results, Bachelor Nation (along with many others) has been heavily impacted by the coronavirus pandemic. Recently, production on Clare Crawley’s season of The Bachelorette was halted and contestants were sent home indefinitely. There’s also a chance, given this schedule change, that Bachelor in Paradise may not get a season this year.

As of now, there are no official updates on when production on The Bachelorette will resume, or what the franchise plans to do with the summer shows (which were to include The Bachelor Summer Games, as well).

Next. How is the coronavirus affecting Bachelor Nation shows?. dark

It’s up in the air until further notice, so while we wait, there are plenty of past Bachelor nation shows to rewatch and binge while we all engage in social distancing!
