Who are the top contenders for the next Bachelorette?

We’re only weeks into season 24 of The Bachelor, but these contestants have quickly started to emerge as potential Bachelorette candidates.

In light of Peter’s B- season of The Bachelor thus far, we thought we’d amuse ourselves with a look forward at potential Bachelorettes. Look, we know it’s early, but you can often tell who the next lead is relatively early on in the process.

This post will be purely speculative and *spoiler-free*, so please don’t take anything as fact. Let’s begin.

1. Victoria P.

27, Nurse, Alexandria, LA

It’s hard to imagine Victoria wouldn’t be a major contender if she doesn’t end up with Peter. She is stunningly beautiful, sweet, and has a really compelling backstory. She reminds us of one of our favorites: Emily Maynard.

As an early favorite with overwhelming support on Twitter, fans would definitely be on board to see Victoria find the happily ever after she deserves. Our only concerns are that she’d be our second pageant girl Bachelorette in a row (she was the reigning Miss Louisiana during filming), and she might be a bit too meek to carry a season.

2. Kelley Flanagan

27, Attorney, Chicago, IL

This show loves lawyers. We’ve had two attorneys as Bachelorettes in recent years: Andi Dorfman and Rachel Lindsay. We appreciate a smart woman who is used to sniffing out bullshit. You’d never see them handling conflict as poorly as Peter did this week–Rachel didn’t hesitate to send both men involved in drama home (though we’ll never forget you, Whaboom Gate).

She didn’t come to play and we think Kelley could have the same energy. She’s mostly stayed out of the drama and has been normal otherwise. Plus, some geographic diversity! A big-city girl (from Chicago) amidst a sea of Southern belles. We’d love to see it.

3. Kelsey Weier

28, Professional Clothier, Des Moines, IA

Kelsey’s edit has thus far hasn’t been all that flattering, but hey, Hannah B.’s edit wasn’t great either and now she’s a fan favorite with one of the best seasons in recent memory, so let’s not use first impressions against anyone. She has a flair for the dramatic that is GREAT for a lead, a spunk that lends itself to decisive decision-making and good “West Virginia hood rat” moments, and has shown that she has a good sense of humor in repeatedly roasting herself for the champagne situation. However, Kelsey is also a former pageant girl, so she would face the same hesitation as Victoria P.

You may have noticed all our picks are above the age of 25. Look, nothing against the youngins, but if we’re going to pretend this show is about love and marriage rather than drama and ratings, we need to bring the average age back up. We love mess and drama, but there’s a point where it’s just annoying, and this week’s investigation into Alayah was very much past that point. But, since the show doesn’t really care about the love story aspect anymore and has devolved into a dating version of Real Housewives of Westlake Village, we’re sure the show is clamoring for another young cast to rile up more senseless drama. So:

4. Hannah Ann

23, Model, Knoxville, TN

We think it’s unlikely we’ll get a second Hannah in a row, but drama seems to follow Hannah Ann around and we could see that being very attractive to the producers. She’s also very pretty so we’re sure the guys would go crazy for her. She’s very young, so her guys would be in the lower range, too, which is sure to bring a lot of drama.

Bonus round: throwback picks

We’ve had two throwback Bachelors (sup Arie and Nick) so why not a throwback Bachelorette?

5. Tayshia Adams

29, Colton’s ex No. 1

Tayshia came into our lives with Colton’s season, where she made Top three and proved herself to be adventurous and mature. She’s divorced and knows what she wants so she’d be a strong lead. We do worry that she’d be a little too mild-mannered to serve us a balance of drama, but she’s very sweet and we’re confident she’d walk away from her season with a fiancé… which the show hasn’t had in the past two seasons, and might not get again if previews are anything to go by.

6. Tia Booth

28, Colton’s ex No. 2

We met our favorite firecracker brunette on Arie’s season, and then saw her on Paradise before Colton dumped her to be Bachelor (we’re kidding! Kind of.) She’s fun and assertive, and she was 100% going to be the Bachelorette before Arie pulled his switch and Becca was the clear choice. We’d love to see that season that never was.

Next. Uh, you can’t do what as a Bachelor Nation participant?. dark
