And there you have it, Peter Weber is our next Bachelor!

The Bachelor season 24 will be starring none other than Peter Weber aka Pilot Pete from Hannah Brown’s season of The Bachelorette. Of course, long before the official announcement, rumors had begun circulating that he was the one, but it sure is nice to hear it confirmed.

After being sent home by Hannah B., Pilot Pete nursed his broken heart, and today, he can call himself the next Bachelor. For a while, I didn’t think he would be the one to walk away with the honor considering Tyler Cameron and Mike Johnson were also contenders. But after Tyler C. allegedly starting dating Gigi Hadid and Mike went to Bachelor in Paradise, the ball fell right into Pete’s court.

I think many of us are conflicted over Pilot Pete being the choice the franchise went with. A lot of people were hoping that Mike would be the one and were ultimately disappointed when this didn’t turn out to be the case. No one can deny that smile, sigh.

But I don’t think we have to worry about Mike. He is doing splendidly if you know what I mean.

Personally, I’m not sure how I feel about Pilot Pete. His personality is a bit blah and it simply does not have that pizazz and excitement that others have in the past. But having said that, he genuinely seems very sweet and seems relatively drama-free. Here’s to hoping his quiet nature is overshadowed by all the potential drama between contestants.

We can always count on them to make things exciting and dramatic, can’t we?

And with that, be sure to check out the official Twitter account to meet some of the women that may be competing for Pete’s love (and the entire list on E! News here). Are you already picking out your favorites? I know I am.

With Bachelor in Paradise season 6 over, we’ve got a bit of a wait until we get to see Pete’s quest to find true love. Jan. 6th, 2020, to be exact. However, will we get through the next three months? By learning everything we can about Pilot Pete, duh.
