Bachelor in Paradise: Blake, Kristina, and their complicated love story

Blake Horstmann had a relationship epiphany during this week’s episode on Bachelor in Paradise–will he stay true to his promises?

Bachelor in Paradise has been a whirlwind disaster for Blake Horstmann. It started off as a mess and it resulted in him being the loneliest contestant on the beach. But something happened during this week’s second episode–he realized who has his heart, who has always had his heart. Kristina Schulman.

It’s likely you were rolling your eyes just as much as I was during Blake’s epiphany. It’s hard to trust his intentions and whether or not he’s being genuine, but I won’t lie when I say that something was definitely going on in that brain of his.

Once he realized he’s all in with Kristina, Blake did not waste any time in letting her know his feelings. Naturally, Kristina was not convinced right off the bat, and I don’t blame her. She has her guard up after all the Stagecoach/Hannah G./Caelynn shenanigans, but there’s definitely something about Blake she can’t deny.

The doubt definitely began sinking in when a new Bachelor in Paradise arrival, Bri Barnes, walked down the steps. As expected, she immediately sought out Blake and Bachelor Nation collectively said: “ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME”. For a moment, all of us including Kristina were pretty sure Blake would take Bri up on the offer to go on a date.

Spoiler alert: HE SAID NO! Bravo, Blake, bravo! He’s sticking to his promise to Kristina and he plans on keeping it. I’m just hoping that he remains committed and devoted to her through the rest of Bachelor in Paradise. Who knows, maybe they will be one of the couples engaged by the end of all of this.

Wouldn’t that be nice?
