Bachelor Nation is having mixed feelings about [SPOILER] being sent home during this week’s rose ceremony in Bachelor in Paradise.

Bachelor in Paradise broke our collective Bachelor Nation hearts last night. But before I get into the nitty-gritty details of why I just want anyone reading this to make sure you’ve actually watched the most recent episode before anything gets spoiled for you. I’d hate for the episode to be ruined for you, so you’ve been warned!

Moving along, last night’s rose ceremony resulted in the exit of a beloved Bachelor Nation fan-favorite. We love his smile, we love his personality, we love his looks–basically we love everything about him. And that him would be none other than Mike Johnson. Unfortunately, he was sent home from Bachelor in Paradise after failing to connect with anyone on the beach.

Personally, I thought there was potential with Sydney, but that quickly fizzled out. And before we could realize it, Mike didn’t really have anyone he was truly vibing with. Now, you may say that leaving Bachelor in Paradise could have been great for Mike, we won’t know for sure until the season ends. He may be dating someone, or he could very well be our next Bachelor (some of you may know whether or not this is the case, but shhh).

We do have unofficial confirmation on who the Bachelor is, but I won’t ruin it for anyone. If you’re curious, you can check that out here. All I’m saying is that Mike deserves to be the Bachelor more than anyone, and if he’s truly not it, then we will all riot. FYI, that’s not a joke considering petitions are being sent around to advocate for him to get that title next.

Myself, along with the Twitterverse, were heartbroken to see Mike go home, especially considering the fact that awkward Matt Donald and Luke S. each got roses. I’m sorry, but that just doesn’t make any sense.

The whole ordeal seems confusing to me, especially given how fabulous Mike is. Which is why hearing his disappointment and hurt was too much for my heart to handle. A guy like that deserves the best, which is why leaving Bachelor in Paradise may have actually been a blessing (or so we hope). Don’t worry Mike, your girl is out there waiting for you–and she will make all of this worth it.

In honor of Mike, let’s mourn the fact that Paradise lost a great one with a series of tweets to uplift our spirits.

Ugh, seriously. This guy is the best.

Same, Brett. Same.

Touche.
