There is a new Bachelor baby! I repeat, THERE IS A NEW BACHELOR BABY! Get excited, fandom, because Arie and Lauren Luyendyk from season 22 of the popular series have just announced the birth of their daughter.
The baby was born Wednesday and the birth was announced on Instagram on Thursday morning. New mama Lauren writes, “She is sweet, calm and @ariejr and I could not be more in love with her.”
Just look at that sweet little bow! Be still, my heart.
Daddy Arie Luyendyk also took to Instagram to give some details about their new addition. The baby girl is 6 lbs, 13 oz and 20 cm long. Both mom and baby are healthy and thriving, despite concerns that the couple expressed several weeks ago about the child being in the breech position.
Lucky for us, Arie and Lauren aren’t making us wait to learn their baby girl’s name either. They’ve dubbed her Alessi Ren, certainly an uncommon name that falls right in line with the “unique” theme they’ve been teasing for months now.
Right now, other details on Baby Luyendyk have been sparse. But considering how active Arie and Lauren have been on social media in the past (little Alessi Ren even has her own Instagram profile), we suspect that we won’t have to wait too long on future updates. Heck, this pregnancy was documented down to the very last minute, with Lauren Luyendyk even posting a shot from labor and delivery earlier this week.
Lucky for us, Alessi Ren is not the last Bachelor baby that’ll be comin’ at us this year. Fan favorite couple Jade and Tanner Tolbert are expecting a new addition at the end of the summer and Evan Bass and Carly Waddell recently announced that they, too, are pregnant with baby #2.
