Demi Lovato took to Instagram to vent about her frustrations with Luke Parker. Here’s why the popular actress is not a fan.

After his bombshell “I love you” on last week’s episode of The Bachelorette, the internet has shown some serious feelings about contestant Luke Parker. While he gathered a few supporters of his bold move, many members of Bachelor Nation (us included) noted that this felt like a major red flag and doubted his sincerity with Hannah Brown. Now, a very prominent viewer of The Bachelorette is weighing in: actress and singer Demi Lovato.

Lovato took to Instagram to express her frustrations with the Georgia born contestant. “Hannah, honey, do not trust him!!!!!!” she posted over a clip of the series. She went on to say, “I’m uncomfortable. I’m cringing.”

Unlike many viewers of this season, Demi Lovato had never really watched The Bachelorette before. She was drawn to the show by Hannah Brown’s casting, as she felt that the former pageant queen was “so cute.”

Welcome to Bachelor Nation, Demi, where we see a contestant as cringey as Luke Parker at least once every season. In fact, perhaps it’s Demi’s lack of experience with the franchise that caused her to have such a visceral gut reaction. As longtime viewers of The Bachelorette, we can become sort of immune to some of the crazier antics that go down on the show. It takes an outsider like Demi to point out how truly nuts some contestants can be.

So who would she have Hannah fall for instead? Demi wrote on Instagram that her favorite suitor is Mike from San Antonio. “He’s my pick… Jussssayin,” she posted. A far better pick indeed! Mike has not been remotely controversial yet, with many online fans picking him as their favorite, too. Even if he doesn’t take home that final rose, there will definitely be more than a few viewers volleying to see him on Bachelor in Paradise.
