Luke went all in on The Bachelorette this week when he told Hannah Brown that he loved her. What exactly was going through her head as she listened to him?Practically from the moment we met him, fans of The Bachelorette have been noting some serious red flags about contestant Luke Parker. Whether it be his now infamous “Come to Jesus shower” or his not offering a coat to shivering Hannah Brown, we’ve all been passing around the criticisms.

So when Luke dropped the L-bomb on Hannah during their group date this week, it seemed like a very in character move. Luke seems to know how to play the game and—what’s worse—his savvy move seemed to actually work on Hannah. Now, the Bachelorette is finally commenting to Daily Pop on what went through her head during the Mr. Right Pageant. Unfortunately. . . you might find her answer a bit lacking.

"When he was saying that, I was like, ‘Oh god. You’re about to say it. Oh, please don’t. Oh, you are. Oh, you did. You did, you said it.’ It’s still shock. We had a very instant connection and I think it was nice for me to hear that he had feelings for me. I didn’t know they were that strong, but I couldn’t help but smile to know that he had feelings for me because I had feelings for him in a capacity. So, yeah, I did smile. I cheesed a little bit."

While Hannah says that she was in shock and actively thought that maybe Luke shouldn’t say “I love you,” her admission that it was nice to hear the words really troubles us. Can’t she see through the ploy here? Can’t she tell that it’s too early?

Hannah Brown went on to explain that part of her willingness to listen to Luke stems from a previous relationship in which things moved at a similar quick pace. Here’s the thing, Hannah: YOUR LAST RELATIONSHIP DIDN’T WORK OUT. That’s why you’ve been on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette! Try something new for a change!

Ugh, we really hope that this isn’t a sign of more success for Luke Parker in the future. He’s already shaping up to be this season’s greatest villain, which is saying a lot for a season that also features the wannabe rapper/chicken nugget terrorist Cam Ayala. Someone get Hannah Brown a cold glass of water and help her to calm the heck down!
