Lauren and Arie Luyendyk talk about their unique baby name + pregnancy
Lauren and Arie Luyendyk have a baby girl coming in June! Here are some new details about their pregnancy and the name they’ve got picked out.
This year has been full of Bachelor babies, from Bekah Martinez’s newest little bean Ruthie Ray to Jade and Tanner Tolbert’s boy due in August. The next expected arrival, though, belongs to winning couple Lauren and Arie Luyendyk, who will be having a baby girl in June (two months!). In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, they’ve revealed new details about their little bundle of joy.
Unique name
Arie and Lauren already have their baby’s name on lockdown and apparently have known what they were going to name her since Christmas. They promise that it will be a name “tweaked into something unique.” They went on to comment that they don’t actually know anyone with the special name!
As much as we’re thrilled to learn the details, unfortunately we’re going to have to wait until the birth for a name announcement. Any speculation, Bachelor Nation? With Dad’s name being as unique as Arie, this trend toward the creative doesn’t really surprise us.
Baby Tinder
The Luyendyks also talked about how they used a Tinder-type app to sort through which baby names they like. Apparently Lauren is pretty firm in her tastes, turning down nearly 600 names. Two of those “no’s” we learned were for Ariel and Arie Jr. Jr. Ha!
Seeing a positive
Arie and Lauren also opened up about what it was like to first learn they were expecting back in November of 2018. Lauren says she had a feeling she was pregnant, but it was actually Arie who got to see the positive test first. Yep: apparently he shed some man tears over the event.
Lauren and Arie Luyendyk have been a controversial couple from the start of their relationship, when Arie dumped fiance Becca Kufrin to pursue something with the blonde who’d been sent home. It’s precious moments like these, though, that give us a lot of hope that they ultimately made the right decision to be together. It sounds like they’ve truly found some happiness.
