Blake Horstmann confirms that he dated Bachelor alum Kristina Schulman

Bachelor alum Blake Horstmann has confirmed that he briefly dated Kristina Schulman last year. Here are all the details you need to know.

Did you catch that rumor last year that Bachelor-franchise alums Blake Horstmann and Kristina Schulman were dating? While they aren’t together now, Blake has confirmed to The Morning Toast web show that the two were, at one time, an item.

Rumors first started swirling about the couple back in September of 2018. Fans had spotted them going out and had put two and two together. While the spark was there, it fizzled out rather quickly. Blake commented that Kristina came to Denver to visit him “a couple of times” but that they simply weren’t meant to be. He called the affair “a very strange point in [his] life.”

This wasn’t because Kristina was crazy or anything like that! Rather, the “strangeness” came, in part, because Blake had just been turned down to star as the new Bachelor. “I didn’t realize what my life was going to turn into as far as being busy and traveling and having all these crazy opportunities,” he commented. Doesn’t sound like either Blake or Kristina was really at fault for things not working out here.

What a tough go for both of them though! Blake Horstmann first stole our hearts when Bachelorette Becca Kufrin turned down his planned proposal. After that, he kept a pretty low profile.

Kristina has had more than one bout of bad luck on our favorite series. Nick Viall sent her packing right before hometowns on The Bachelor and later Dean Unglert brutally broke her heart amidst an awkward love triangle on Bachelor in Paradise.

We’re still hoping that both Blake and Kristina will find their perfect companions in the near future. Rumors are already swirling that Blake has a decent shot with recent Bachelor alum Hannah Godwin, who has stated directly that she’d like to see him in Paradise this summer (season premiere date announced here!!). Could this be a great new love connection? Fingers crossed!
