Lauren Bushnell’s boyfriend is “sure” engagement is in their future

In the same week that her former fiance Ben Higgins dropped massive news about his new girlfriend Jessica Clarke (read more on that here!) and appeared on The Bachelor, franchise alum Lauren Bushnell is making news for taking the next step with her own boyfriend.

Lauren currently dates country singer Chris Lane. They had been friends for a long time, but only went public with their relationship back in November. Now, they’re moving in together! Chris tells ET that Lauren is getting things ready to join him in Nashville. Side note: is this city a hotspot for former Bachelor stars or what? Tons of them have Tennessee ties.

This isn’t the only bombshell that Chris was shelling out to ET. He also reports that while they have no firm plans right now, he feels very sure that a wedding is in their not-too-distant future. He commented that when you’re older and in a relationship, it’s easier to simply know what you want.

Lauren Bushnell definitely didn’t seem to be the right fit for Ben Higgins back when she was dating him. In their Bachelor spin-off show, Ben & Lauren: Happily Ever After?, they were often downright painful to watch together. Chris seems like a much better match for her and it’s awesome to see how in love he is with her, even calling her the inspiration in his life.

As they aren’t engaged (yet), it’s still a little early to adequately speculate on whether Chris and Lauren will take their relationship the full distance. Still, Lauren’s moving to Nashville is a great way to jump-start things so it would appear that they’re taking their new romance very seriously.

Could they be joining the wave of 2019 Bachelor-related weddings and engagements? Fingers crossed that their love story has the perfect, fairy-tale happy ending!
