Craving some behind-the-scenes info? Former leading lady of The Bachelorette JoJo Fletcher has got us covered with all the dirty deets.

Is it too early to start talking about The Bachelorette? We’re already down to Colton’s hometowns on The Bachelor, so bring it on! Thankfully, former Bachelorette JoJo Fletcher is helping us out by spilling a ton of interesting behind-the-scenes details to Entertainment Tonight about her time on the show. Chances are some of these secrets apply to Colton’s current season, too!

Bring on the booze

JoJo reports that on the night of her premiere, the men vying for her heart were beyond buzzed: they were outright wasted! Her fiance, Jordan Rodgers, confirmed this tidbit, stating that he was pretty sure the “welcome drinks” being handed out by the Bachelorette crew were just straight vodka.

This in no way surprises us. We’ve all seen the contestants on night one, sloshing and bickering early on with drinks in hand. It also wouldn’t be surprising if the male contestants were getting stronger drinks than the women. Gotta get those bros to stop being chill and fight, right?

Hopefully this has changed a bit over the life of the franchise. After all, it’s hard to forget the chilling account of what went down between Corinne Olympios and DeMario Jackson on Bachelor in Paradise.

JoJo chose The Bachelor, but The Bachelorette chose Jordan

JoJo says that she was a fan of the series long before she first stormed our screens on The Bachelor. Jordan Rodgers was a different story. Apparently he was scouted after crew from The Bachelorette saw him in the sports circuit.

Again, this tidbit of info totally makes sense. More women watch the series than men, so it follows that girls would be quicker to sign on for those coveted red roses. The Bachelorette probably has to put in slightly more legwork to find the right guys to put on screen.

There’s a name cheat sheet

How could there not be a cheat sheet for contestant names? JoJo revealed that her memory, especially on night one, was absolutely terrible. And with all that vodka being passed around, that’s far from surprising.

She says that the rose ceremony is actually broken into parts so that the Bachelorette can ask producers about contestant names before passing them on to the next round.

No friggin’ wonder night one takes so long to film! It sounds like the worst combination of drinking and memory problems. It’s a miracle that any leading man or woman has the ability to even hand out a first impression rose.
