Demi Burnett: 3 good reasons to miss our fave villain on The Bachelor

THE BACHELOR - "2303" - ColtonÕs search for love starts with laughs, surprises and intense face-offs between the women. The first date of the season has eight hopeful bachelorettes sharing personal stories about their "firsts" - with Colton and a live audience Ð and coached by happily married masters of comedy Megan Mullally ("Will & Grace") and Nick Offerman ("Parks and Recreation"). Hannah B. scores the first one-on-one date on her birthday, including dinner on The Queen Mary. Twelve eager women attend "Camp Bachelor" with a decidedly unorthodox camp counselor, actor and comedian Billy Eichner, who oversees three challenging contests. However, some ill-timed drama the night of the rose ceremony might lead to certain ladies being left without a rose on "The Bachelor," MONDAY, JAN. 14 (8:00-10:00 p.m. EST), on The ABC Television Network. Demi Burnett was a star that burned bright and fast on The Bachelor. Here are 3 reasons why we’ll miss her signature spunk on the show.

She split the Bachelor Nation fanbase, to be sure, but we will definitely miss Colton Underwood’s season villain Demi Burnett. Sure, she may have felt a little bit like a knock-off Corinne Olympios at times, but she still brought a lot to the table. Demi was eliminated on last week’s episode of The Bachelor and here are 3 good reasons why you should definitely mourn her loss.

No more comic relief

Far and away, Demi Burnett was the funniest contestant on this season of the show. She was completely gif-able and provided some great fodder for tweets and commentary.

Now that she’s gone, who can possibly fill her void? There’s really no other contestant with her trademark snark. Even Hannah B. with that outrageous Beast Roar can’t make us laugh the way that Demi did. God knows we’re going to need some kind of comic relief during these last few episodes that are sure to be full of tears and painful eliminations.

No hometown for Demi

We’re headed on hometown dates pretty soon and let’s be real: NO ONE could have had a better hometown date than Demi Burnett. No date for her means that we will never get to meet Mama Demi! She was the best unseen character on the show and we were dying to see what these two were like together IRL.

The Bachelor spent so long teasing her mother’s prison release. A courtesy shot was the least they could do for us!

A lack of tension

Many of this season’s rivalries have already been eliminated. Onyeka and Nicole got sent home last week. Tracy was sent packing shortly before them. Even Caelynn and Hannah B. seem to have buried the hatchet (side note: will we ever get a two-on-one date??).

Demi was one of the last antagonistic sources left in the house. And, honestly, we needed her to break up all that vanilla. The tension is half the reason we watch The Bachelor! It will be weirdly sad to see everyone getting along so well in the coming episodes.
