We can smell a two-on-one in the air! Here’s why there will be no survivor unless Bachelor contestants Caelynn and Hannah B. change their strategies.

“Can I interrupt for a second?” “I think I’m starting to fall in love with him.” “I really believe in the journey.” There are plenty of cliches on The Bachelor, but there’s one we hear without fail every season: “She’s not here for the right reasons!”

In a house packed full of bored 20 and 30-something-year-old women, drama is bound to ensue. It never takes long for two girls to discover a deep loathing between one another and for one party to come crying to the Bachelor that her competitor isn’t really there for him. This season, one feud stands out: Miss USA alumni Hannah Brown and Caelynn Miller-Keyes have been tense since they first saw each other in the mansion.

For a while, the drama felt a bit one-sided. Hannah B. came off as borderline obsessed with Caelynn, crying wolf to Colton at every given opportunity. Meanwhile, Caelynn stayed cool and collected, instead wisely using her time with the Bachelor to—shocker!—actually get to know him.

Somewhere in episode 3, though, things shifted. Caelynn decided to take matters into her own hands, coming to Colton to address the feud from her perspective. The result? Our resident Bachelor freaked out, coming to producers and Chris Harrison because he didn’t know what to do.

Ladies: this strategy never works. While Hannah B. may have been the one painted out to be crazy for the first several episodes (and she may very well be the party to blame), the second you go to complain about another contestant to the Bachelor, you have downgraded yourself. You have wasted precious time that could be spent on an actual date willingly shifting the attention to one of your competitors.

We’ve seen the same results time and again! In Nick Viall’s season, contestant Taylor was clearly smart but ruined her chances of moving forward with him when she threw all her attention onto villain Corinne. During Chris Soules’ season, both Ashley I. and Kelsey were sent home in a shocker double elimination after neither could shake their drama.

My advice to Caelynn and Hannah B.? Ditch the history and forget about each other. Hannah, the Bachelor has clearly struggled to get to know you, so why not use some time to talk about yourself? And Caelynn, your strategy had been going so well! Forget the mosquito in Colton’s ear and keep doing you. Best of luck ladies. Unfortunately, I’m sure we’ll catch you on the two-on-one.
