This week The Bachelor really saw the drama in the mansion intensify. Here’s everything you missed during episode 2!
What a night! Colton sure knows how to pick some winners because we already have at least two feuds going on and we’re only finished with episode 2. Here’s all the recap you need in case you missed the latest episode of The Bachelor.
First group date
After a strange vlog-style introduction from leading man Colton (please don’t let those last), our first group date saw 8 girls headed out to perform stories about “first times.”
That’s right! After promising not to harp on Colton’s virginity, we got an entire first date that centered around firsts. Subtle. Leading the date were married comedians Megan Mullally and Nick Offerman.
The highlights were abundant. Elyse made some clever and cute comments about being a self-proclaimed cougar who deserved a younger man. Catherine and Onyeka continued to throw shade at each other regarding the events of the premiere. Tracy told a very uncomfortable story about taking some guy’s virginity.
The real pinnacle, though, was when Demi ditched the story to come kiss Colton instead. In case that didn’t make enough waves, she also later stole the date rose. This upset Tracy, which led to a very tense stand-off between the baby of the house and one of its cougars (Side note: it’s killing me that the show keeps referring to thirty-somethings as cougars. Killing me.).
In the end, Elyse came away with the date rose. Score one for one of the cougs who actually showed some maturity!
Hannah B.’s date
Just in time for her 24th birthday, Hannah B. was taken out for the most awkward horseback riding encounter ever. It was immediately apparent that Colton wasn’t feeling it.
To make matters worse, her rival, Caelynn, was back at the house telling the other girls all about their shared history. This situation is quickly spiraling out of control for Hannah B.
Lucky for Hannah B., she was able to open up to Colton over dinner about what it was like to lose her own virginity. He gave her the date rose and saved her birthday!
Second group date
For our last group date, we head over to summer camp. Comedian Billy Eichner had the girls split into two teams for games. Surprise! The winning team would get to have an overnight with Colton right there on the campgrounds.
The red team won, which is particularly lucky for contestant Heather, who had spent her first few days in the mansion stressing about how to tell Colton she’s never been kissed. He showed some serious compassion (bonus points for Colton!) and gave her the date rose.
Cocktail party
Naturally, at the cocktail party all of the girls from the losing team were freaking out about not getting any time with Colton. There was also another feud blossoming (keep the tally, this makes three) after Sydney was interrupted while trying to chat with the Bach.
There were bigger fish to fry though: Demi took charge of the night once more by showing up in a robe to steal Colton away. Tracy freaked out again and the Cougar vs. Baby battle lives to see another day.
In the end, no one too surprising is sent home. Still, WHAT AN EPISODE! The drama has only just begun. Can’t wait ‘til next week!
