Let the countdown begin! Jade and Tanner Tolbert will welcome a little girl into the world in about four months. They made their big announcement on Thursday and Bachelor Nation is thrilled with the news.
Jade and Tanner, who met on Bachelor in Paradise Season 2, got married on a Bachelor TV special in January 2016. Last week, they teased fans about the gender reveal with on their Instagram story. After their ultrasound appointment, the couple said, “We’re having a ….” and stopped there. Apparently, they wanted to tell their family first. And they may have had another reason to wait…
Jade and Tanner share their big news
One week after they found out the sex of their baby, Jade and Tanner left it up to
to share the good news. The magazine posted a video clip about the announcement. It’s likely the couple got paid by People for the exclusive, something that’s not a big surprise.
Many Bachelor contestants rake in some pretty big paychecks giving exclusives and promoting products on social media. Jade and Tanner are building a gigantic new home, so if they did get paid for the baby’s gender announcement, more power to them. Fame only lasts so long in the reality TV world, so why not take advantage of it.
Tanner was hoping for a boy
Tanner tells People magazine that he was hoping for a boy. He states that they are going to have to keep trying so he gets his boy, something Jade doesn’t sound too thrilled with.

Before the ultrasound revealed the sex of the couple’s baby, Tanner said that although he was hoping for a boy, it’s not that he doesn’t want a girl. He wants one of each.
“He thinks I’m going to have four children if the first three are girls, but I think he’s wrong on that,” Jade tells People.

Jade is expected to deliver the couple’s baby girl in September. She updates fans with baby bump pics on Instagram and recently started a pregnancy vlog on People. The couple is also in the midst of building a house and share the house building process on YouTube.
Life has been good to Jade and Tanner since they met on Bachelor in Paradise. Most couples from the franchise don’t last long, but their relationship has progressed from engagement to marriage to baby since they met in 2015.
