Chad Johnson brought his own brand of crazy to Bachelor in Paradise last season and many fans are hoping he’ll return to shake things up this summer.

Just weeks after he moved to Los Angeles, Chad Johnson confirmed on Snapchat that he will not be part of the Bachelor in Paradise Season 4 cast. However, there is speculation that he is just creating hype so people will beg producers to bring him on the show.

With his trusty sidekick, Pumpkin by his side, Chad showed off his new L.A. apartment to his Snapchat followers on Sunday. There wasn’t much to see –  air mattress and a few boxes. Clearly, the Chad-bear needs some furniture. Of note: the rooftop pool looks amazing.

If you weren’t paying attention, you may have missed his “I’m not doing Paradise” announcement. In true Chad style, he was mentioned it while rambling on about drinking, eating, and “gains.” You know, the gains you get when you actually go to the gym vs. laying on the couch eating chips?

Did Chad make the Bachelor in Paradise announcement to get attention or because it’s true? Who knows what Chad’s intention are.

In early April, the show’s creator, Mike Fleiss, tweeted that no contestants were confirmed for the show, including Chad. Obviously, he wants to keep the cast list under wraps for as long as possible to keep fans wondering.

According to Reality Steve, the cast announcement won’t happen until this summer when filming is underway. Fortunately, Steve usually leaks the entire cast out long before ABC releases the cast bios.

And it’s not too difficult to figure out which former contestants will be showing up in Paradise this summer. Just check their social media accounts — they aren’t keeping many secrets.

More from Bachelor in Paradise

On Sunday, Amanda Stanton spilled the beans on her Instagram story that her friend, Sarah Vendal (Nick’s season) will be part of the Season 4 cast. Amanda stated that she would not return to the show but, much like Chad’s announcement, we’re still not convinced.

In addition to Sarah, Reality Steve expects a number of ladies from Nick’s season to show up in Paradise. Raven Gates who, during the After the Final Rose special, more or less confirmed she will join the cast. Corinne Olympios keeps teasing that she’ll be on the show. And the list goes on.

Chase McNary and Robby Hayes recently moved in with former Bachelorette Emily Maynard’s ex, Jef Holm. There’s a good chance we’ll see the trio on Bachelor in Paradise this summer along with several guys from Rachel Lindsay’s season. Hey, maybe Jared Haibon will show up again.

And as far as Chad Johnson goes, never say never. Although Chad made the announcement sound super-official on Snapchat, fans won’t know for sure until ABC reveals the Paradise cast list this summer.

Bachelor in Paradise Season 4 premieres on August 8 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
