1. The Bachelorette Season 21, Episode 6: Worst moment: Sam's interview

Okay, so this could easily be interpreted as the best moment of this Bachelorette episode, but I’m going to put it as the worst.

Jenn and the Men go on a group date to the iHeart radio station in Seattle. What an amazing throwback to Jason and Molly’s season! That one went decidedly more smoothly.

The long and short of this is that frontrunner Sam couldn’t answer any of Jenn’s questions about why he likes her or why he sees something special with her, instead resorting to fill-in catchphrases and physical touch, at least from what we were shown.

Here’s why it also makes a good moment: we actually got to see Jenn figure out her frontrunner for HERSELF, relying on her own questions and intuition. That is so rare! Usually, the lead has to be repeatedly warned about a contestant to change her (or his) perception of them.

It was also hilarious to see the guys (and Jason and Molly) reaching out as Sam struggled to answer even the most basic questions about Jenn’s personality.

I did feel a little bit for Sam. Some of it could have been edited to sound worse than it was (but given Jenn’s reaction, it must have been pretty bad). Also to be fair, maybe Sam doesn’t excel at it expressing his feelings on the spot. It’s not easy!

All in all, this was just a fascinating insight into Sam as a person and what their relationship may be lacking. Very interesting stuff! But yeah, I’m sure it was the worst moment of Jenn’s week, so into the worst moment category it goes!

2. The Bachelorette Season 21, Episode 6: Best moment: Religion talk

Jenn and Jeremy go on a lovely date in Seattle to discuss their family backgrounds. This was such a great conversation that came out of nowhere!

Jeremy is such a dark horse. I was wildly caught off guard when Jenn told him he brings out more of her than anyone there.

During the dinner portion of their one-on-one, Jeremy brings up how important Judaism is to him and how he wants to be part of his future family. Jenn also brought up her Buddhism and how she wants it to be the same.

It’s hard to believe, but very few conversations like this have ever been shown on this franchise. I’m sure they’ve been had, but they’re hardly ever shown! Especially showcasing religions outside of Christianity.

Jenn gives Jeremy the hometown rose, solidifying this week’s best moment!
