1. Best moment: Sheep!

In episode 5 of The Bachelorette Season 21, Jenn takes her men on a group date in New Zealand, and they stumble upon a herd of sheep!

And one precious sheep-herding dog who did not get enough airtime.

The best moment came when the men were given the task to herd the sheep through a gate, and as Sam M. put it, chaos ensued.

The sheep were absolutely freaking out, running in circles, jumping over each other, as the men basically just chased them.

The problem was soon discovered: they forgot to actually open the gate. They did not realize this, so everyone was baffled as to why the sheep were running around aimlessly.

The sheepherder had the best quote: “Well, the first thing I would have done was open the gate. And that was sort of a disappointment that they didn’t.”

He later told the men that they didn’t have a lot of “collective intelligence.” Amazing.

2. Worst moment: Austin's departure

During the evening portion of the group date, Austin concludes that he hasn’t gotten a lot of validation this season, and it’s probably best to bow out now.

I wish more contestants would do this! It’s sad to see people hang around who we know aren’t winning.

I can see how this brought up feelings for Jenn, but it didn’t make sense. It didn’t feel as though she was particularly upset about Austin leaving.

He was leaving because he hadn’t gotten time with Jenn. He said he felt like he had been “playing catch up” the whole season and was the only guy who hadn’t gotten a one-on-one or a group date rose.

So the problem was clearly that she didn’t like him enough, not that she wasn’t enough for him!

Clearly, her fear was about the other men leaving, not missing Austin himself.

So, to sum up, Austin did the right thing! She’s just not that into you.
