The world fell in love with Gerry immediately as promos began to be released, and he started doing interviews. It’s easy to fall in love with the 72-year-old looking for his second shot at love. It may not be like his first love, but it will be epic, beautiful, and a story for the ages!

Gerry is 72 years old and lives in a beautiful lakeside home in Indiana. He may be considered a senior citizen, but he loves to stay active–hosting barbeques and playing pickleball.

As we learned before the show, Gerry married his high school sweetheart, Toni, back in 1974 and the pair enjoyed decades of happiness together. Over the years, the pair welcomed two daughters, Angie and Jenner, and their family later grew when the pair became grandparents to two granddaughters, Charlee and Payton.

Sadly, Toni passed away in 2017 after a sudden illness bringing an end to the couple’s 43 years together. In the years since, Gerry has entered the dating pool but hasn’t quite been able to find love. Fortunately, through the show, Gerry seems to have found his person! He’s also found overnight fame via the series as well!

Right ahead of the premiere, Gerry had 36,900 followers on Instagram. His feed wasn’t populated as much as we would like it to be, but he did have adorable promo pictures of the show and of his family. Needless to say, Gerry has been much more active since the show’s launch and his following has gained a lot of momentum as well. While Gerry had less than 40K followers before the premiere, ahead of the season 1 finale his Instagram following had risen to over 95k!
