Dancing With The Stars Week 7: Charity does music video night!
By Julia Wagner
Dancing With The Stars was back Tuesday night with an all-new episode featuring Charity Lawson; this time, it was Music Video Night! This was such a great throwback. Who doesn’t love music videos?
Charity Lawson and her partner Artem danced to the classic Janet Jackson song “All For You,” which I definitely remember listening to on Now That’s What I Call Music.
Best of all, there was an amazing guest judge Tuesday night- the one and only Paula Abdul! I’ve missed her.
Charity Lawson’s Dance
Charity and Artem recap their dance from last week, and Charity said she was “not happy” with the eight she got last week. High standards!
Artem said this week’s dance needs to be more “powerful and big.”
Charity seemed excited about the Janet Jackson music video, especially since she got extra dancers for rehearsal! Charity said dancing alongside pros made her “bring it.”
Charity and Artem danced jazz as their style this week; Charity looking super cute in denim cut-off shorts! The dance was fun to watch with all the backup dancers and 90s throwback vibes.
The Judges
Bruno said Charity had the “right spirit” but that Charity could have “split those beats” with more precision.
Carrie Ann said she loved the choreography but didn’t “believe it” all the time.
Derek said he wanted more “energy” but that the dance was beautiful.
Paula said Janet is “fearless and relentless” but asked Charity to “step into her power” more.
Overall, these comments seemed similar to last week– the judges want more power from Charity!
The Scores
Charity Lawson and Artem scored 8, 8, 8, and 8 from the judges for 32 out of 40.
They went on to dance a group dance to “Gangnam Style” by PSY, receiving a perfect score!
