Dancing With The Stars Week 6: Charity Lawson does Monster Night

Dancing With The Stars is back for another week! Charity Lawson teamed up with her partner Artem for Monster Night this Halloween.
Last week, Charity and Artem danced contemporary to the Selena Gomez song “Lose You To Love Me” (which Bachelorette Hannah Brown already danced to when she was on Dancing With The Stars— they couldn’t find a different song for Charity??).
This week, Charity and Artem danced the Jive!
Artem was clear with Charity that you have to be in great physical shape and have a lot of stamina to dance the Jive.
So Charity and Artem threw on some spooky skeleton costumes for a scary but up-tempo dance! The best part was the end when Charity did a handstand, and Artem seemingly broke her legs apart. Skeleton fun!
Dancing with the Stars Week 6: Judges on Charity Lawson’s dance
Derek complimented the makeup and hair team (well-deserved!) and also praised Artem’s choreography. He did say he wanted to see more power from Charity in the future.
Niecy also wanted to see more power and said Charity sliding through Artem’s legs was “a little clunky.”
Bruno was a little more complimentary and said it was “deliciously spooky fun.”
Carrie Ann said the dance was beautifully executed but told Charity her legs “don’t always feel sharp.”
The judges always seem very impressed with Charity, but there are always things to work on!
The scores
Charity Lawson and Artem earned 9, 9, 9, and 8 for 35 out of 40, putting them fourth on the leaderboard.
Thankfully, Charity and Artem then got 3 points added to their total during the ending dance-off!

It’s hard to believe we are already at the halfway point of the season. Let’s hope next week they soar to the top of the leaderboard!
