The Golden Bachelor: Sandra Mason on missing her daughter’s wedding and being eliminated

If you’ve been watching The Golden Bachelor, you watched as Sandra Mason revealed she missed her daughter’s wedding to be on the show. About a week after that reveal, Gerry sent her home, much to our sadness and disappointment.

Sandra shared her journey with PEOPLE  and what it was like to miss the wedding and be eliminated soon after it took place. Here’s what she had to say below!

Even though Sandra got eliminated from The Golden Bachelor, she shares that she has absolutely no regrets and opened up about why she was motivated to give love another shot.

“My son-in-law said, ‘Mom, our ceremony is eight minutes. Our marriage is a lifetime.’ He said, ‘You go. Go.’ And of course, my daughter said, ‘Mom, I’ve got my guy. You go get yours, ’” Sandra shared. “So they practically shoved me out and said, ‘You got to do this.’ ”

It’s sweet that her family was so supportive of it! Many may not have been or could have been irked by the fact that someone so close to them wouldn’t be a part of their big day. Sandra went on to say that she is very blessed to have the support system she does. Seriously, I agree!

Admittedly, Sandra shared she was “kind of sad” not to get a chance at hometowns with Gerry because the chance at finding love was very exciting and ignited hope within her. Be that as it may, Sandra is grateful for being on the show and said it was “a great experience.”

If you think that getting eliminated from the series has Sandra feeling down about love, you’d be wrong. In fact, she’s as motivated as she’s ever been. She feels that love is “probable” instead of impossible and is open to whatever comes her way.
