Bachelor in Paradise Season 9, Episode 5: Best and worst moments
By Julia Wagner
The Bachelor in Paradise Season 9 beach is back for another week and is more dramatic than ever! Bachelor in Paradise had its fifth episode of season 9 Thursday evening, and oh boy, is there some stuff to talk about.
This was my favorite episode of the season so far!
We have some feel-good dates, interesting couple switch-ups, a game of Truth or Dare, and a mess of a birthday cake.
Bachelor in Paradise Season 9, Episode 5: Best moment: Rachel and Brayden pinatas
I did not see this couple working out, and I’m not sure if I even do now, but this was a charming date!
Rachel gets the date card (even though it’s Kat’s birthday), and she invites her recent make-out pal, Brayden.
Rachel and Brayden proceed to paint each other as pinatas. They both have so much personality!
I love that Brayden noticed how beautiful Rachel was when she let go and stopped caring. He seems to bring out a good side of her.
This reminded me of Zack and Tayshia’s date (RIP), where they rolled around in paint. I miss those simple COVID-lockdown dates!
Bachelor in Paradise Season 9, Episode 5: Worst moment: Birthday cake
Davia comes to the beach and asks Tanner on a date, which Kat is NOT okay with.
As Kat cries to Kylie about it, the group and the kitchen staff bring her a birthday cake.
This was not great timing, and unfortunately, she chose to throw it in the sand.
Really? Was this necessary?
The people who made this birthday cake probably worked very hard on it– I can’t imagine how difficult it is to bake in these sandy conditions!
I hope she bakes the kitchen staff a cake in apology.
What a great episode, ya’ll!
