Dancing With The Stars Week 3: Charity Lawson does Motown week
By Julia Wagner
Tuesday night’s episode of Dancing With The Stars had Charity Lawson and Artem reuniting for Motown Week, and they knocked it out of the park once again! No surprises there!
Last week, Charity and her new partner Ezra earned second place, as Artem was out for Covid.
Charity was stunning in a yellow-gold gown as she and Artem danced the foxtrot to the Motown classic “My Girl.” Charity’s dad was also in the audience this week to see her dance! He hugged her at the end– such a cute moment!
Charity Lawson’s Week 3 performance
Bruno called the dance a “gold standard foxtrot” and said Charity made it look easy! Carrie Ann said Charity took her breath away, and said she was “skating across the floor.”
Derek called the dance beautiful as well but told Charity to keep her arm below Artem’s shoulder to open up the side more. Guest judge Michael Strahan(!) said Charity was meant to dance and that it was like “watching water roll over rocks.” Nicely phrased!
And the scores are…
8, 8, 8, 8, for a total of 32 out of 40!
Afterward, Charity and Artem were interviewed about how they felt about the week. Artem said it was tough to miss a week and have to watch from the couch, but that he was feeling great and glad to be back! Charity said it was great to have her partner back, but added that they have work to do!
Next week is Disney Week! Charity said she would be “in her element” for that, but we don’t know yet which Disney princess she will play. We’ll see! Let’s look forward to seeing Charity “channel her inner princess!”
Charity Lawson, we are so proud of you!
