Dancing With The Stars Week 2: Charity Lawson dances the cha-cha

It’s Latin Night! Tuesday night’s episode of ABC’s Dancing With The Stars showed the remaining 13 pairs dancing their hearts out to various Latin songs, and Charity Lawson had quite the week!

Charity had much to live up to following the premiere week, when her and Artem’s scores topped the leaderboard.

Charity and Artem were assigned the Cha-cha-cha this week but were thrown a major curveball when Artem tested positive for COVID-19.

Thankfully, Ezra Sosa stepped in to help! Ezra has been part of the Dancing With The Stars troupe, but this was his debut as a pro.

Charity stunned in a beautiful lime green outfit as the pair danced to the classic Ricky Martin song “She Bangs.”

The Cha-cha-cha was crisp, sexy, and very energetic. Looks like Ezra did a great job filling in for Artem!

The judges were not quite as impressed as last week, but still very positive overall.

Derek said he wanted to see Charity connect more with her partner, but said she was “beautiful.”

Bruno said Charity was “working it like Naomi on the catwalk,” but he wanted her to relax more!

Carrie Ann said it was “elegant, clean, and tight, almost too tight, borderline stiff,” but praised Charity for working with a new partner.

Overall, it looks like Charity pulled off another great week!

The scores

Charity and Ezra earned scores of 7, 7, and 7 from the judges for 21 out of 30 overall.

Charity said this week proved she can handle anything thrown at her. Looks like she’s on the right show! Hopefully, we’ll also be seeing more of Ezra in the future!

Unfortunately, Jamie Lynn Spears and her partner Alan are out of the competition. Very sad!
