Dancing With The Stars Week 1: Charity Lawson’s dance debut
By Julia Wagner
It’s back! ABC’s Dancing With The Stars kicked off its 32nd season (wow) Tuesday night. I don’t know if it’s just me, but we have a particularly star-studded cast this season.
Some highlights from the new cast include Alyson Hannigan from How I Met Your Mother (!!!), former Viking running back Adrian Peterson, and, of course, the reason we’re all here, former Bachelorette Charity Lawson!
Dancing With The Stars has also added a new pro to their team this year, Lindsay Arnold’s younger sister Rylee Arnold, at only 18 years old!
Also– RIP Len Goodman. He was a great judge, and his hilarious critical comments and amazing accent made for truly amazing TV! He will be missed.
There have been three previous Bachelorette winners, so everyone expects great things from Charity Lawson this season!
This week with Charity Lawson on Dancing with the Stars
Charity has cheered competitively for twelve years, so she had some foundation going into the season! One of the first things she said was, “This is not like cheerleading.”
Charity and her partner Artem (who partnered with Kaitlyn Bristowe in the past) rocked a tango to the tune of Rihanna’s “Only Girl” as Dotun watched from the audience.
Why are Bachelorettes always such amazing dancers?
Charity and Artem performed what looked like a flawless dance, and the judges were astounded at Charity’s skill! Bruno called it a “tango stunner” and said it was “a stellar performance.” It can’t get much better than that!
Carrie Ann Inaba said, “What week is it? That was incredible!”
The verdict: 7, 7, 8. Top score of the night!
All in all, it was a very exciting start to the season for our former Bachelorette Charity Lawson!
