The Golden Bachelor contestant Susan Noles’ ex is a famous baseball player

Tonight, we’ll be meeting the 22 lovely ladies vying for Gerry Turner’s love and final rose on The Golden Bachelor! The latest spinoff in The Bachelor franchise focuses on seniors looking for love, with lead Gerry being a 71-year-old retired grandfather looking for love after suffering a major loss. Sadly, his wife Toni passed away in 2017 and he’s taking another shot at love. This time, it’ll be televised for the whole world to see!

Among the many women competing in The Golden Bachelor is Susan Noles, a 66-year-old hair and makeup artist, along with wedding officiant, from Aston, Pennsylvania. Like Gerry, Susan has children and grandchildren whom she loves spending time with, and she’s a big fan of golf and hanging out at the beach. We hope Gerry likes music, because Susan is a major concert-goer and she has fantastic taste in music, listening to bands like The Rolling Stones and Pink Floyd.

Another fun fact about Susan is that her ex-husband is kind of a celebrity! I guess she might already be used to cameras and televised events, which she could certainly use to her advantage on The Golden Bachelor.

The Golden Bachelor’s Susan was married to baseball player Dickie Noles

As reported by Delco.Today, Susan’s ex-husband is a former MLB player named Dickie Noles, who most notably played as a pitcher for the Philadelphia Phillies. His baseball career in the MLB, which spanned from 1979 to 1990, also saw him playing for the Chicago Cubs, Baltimore Orioles, Texas Rangers, Detroit Tigers, and Cleveland Indians. He ended his career back at the Phillies, which must’ve been a full-circle moment for the athlete. Something worth noting is that he helped his Philly team become World Series champions in 1980. Pretty cool!

Dickie has been sober since the 1980s after his alcoholism led him to assault a police officer while intoxicated, which landed him in jail and later rehab. He’d been to jail several times before that. He’s since turned his life around and now works as the employee assistance professional (EAP) for the Philadelphia Phillies.

Together, Susan and Dickie have three children and six grandchildren. We could not obtain any information to confirm what led to their split and we don’t want to make any assumptions, but perhaps we’ll find out on this season of The Golden Bachelor. Contestants usually open up about their past relationships, so it’s entirely possible Susan will discuss her relationship with Dickie while on a date with Gerry at some point.
