Fall television is back, Bachelor Nation! And it will be glorious, especially for fans of the Bachelor franchise. The Golden Bachelor premieres tonight, a show that has been teased and talked about for the last few years.

Due to the pandemic, it got delayed, and then we stopped hearing much about it. But this year, that changed with the announcement that the series would premiere in the fall. The gifts kept coming when we learned that there would be a golden Bachelor first, and it would be Mr. Gerry Turner.

We immediately fell in love with the adorable father and grandfather who had nothing but amazing things to say about his late wife. They were high school sweethearts and were married until she passed away in 2017.

In the years since Gerry nursed a broken heart but also had hoped to find love again. And then he finally got his chance with The Golden Bachelor! And now, we witness his journey to finding love again starting tonight!

It’s going to be absolutely amazing, and I cannot wait to see what the next few weeks are going to look like for Gerry. Of course, he’s already lived through all of this, but now, we get to see how it goes down.

My vote? Matt James’ mom wins Gerry’s heart, and they fall in love, and live happily ever after!

Wouldn’t that be a wonderful ending to the first season of The Golden Bachelor?
