The Golden Bachelor: Contestants to be revealed this week

The Golden Bachelor premieres in one month, and we CANNOT wait! The world has already fallen in love with 72-year-old Gerry Turner and his heartfelt story. I cried during The Bachelorette special when he shared how his late wife died. To be fair, we were all feeling quite emotional that night, weren’t we?
Luckily, life has given him a second chance at finding love again! He’s currently well on his journey to meeting the woman he can spend the rest of his life with, and this week, we’ll finally learn who is competing for Gerry’s heart on The Golden Bachelor.
Here’s what we know about the reveal so far!
The Golden Bachelor contestants to be revealed this week
ABC released a teaser promo on Monday morning to the tune of Tina Turner’s “Simply The Best” as glimpses of the contestants were shown. We didn’t get any major details, but just enough of a tease to get super invested in what is to come.
According to Entertainment Weekly, we’ll learn who the contestants are on Wednesday, August 30th! I’m even more excited after watching this promo because, for once, the contestants look age-appropriate. Based on the quick glimpses in the video above, the contestants look as if they are in their golden years–and dominating them!
Once we meet these contestants, many of us won’t live in fear of aging but be inspired by their journey and willingness to find love again. This is not easy for anyone, but I must commend Gerry and The Golden Bachelor contestants for putting themselves out there like this.
It’s such an inspiring moment to witness, and I look forward to learning more about these incredible women come September 28th!
