Kaitlyn Bristowe and Jason Tartick have broken off their engagement

We are sad to report that Kaitlyn Bristowe and Jason Tartick have officially broken off their engagement. Bachelor Nation is devastated to learn about this reveal and has feared the worst for weeks.

Fans noticed changes in both Bristowe and Tartick’s Instagram activity as they deleted pictures they had together and of one another. We didn’t want it to be true, but as of Sunday, August 6th, 2023, they made it official on Instagram, and the world was never the same.

“After sharing the news with family and close friends first, and taking the time to properly process it ourselves, we are saddened with heavy hearts to share that we have decided to end our engagement. We are thankful for all of you who gave us the time and space to process this life-altering decision as there are many emotions and changes to navigate,” shared Tartick and Bristowe in an Instagram post on Sunday night.

As shared by PEOPLE, Kaitlyn, and Jason shared what would happen with their fur babies and how they would be co-parenting them despite breaking up. They shared that this is a very difficult time in their lives, and they would appreciate the respect and privacy to sort through their feelings during this difficult time.

To say my heart is broken is an understatement. It is devastating that these two didn’t work out and are now trying to mend their broken hearts. Kaitlyn posted a make-up-free selfie on her IG story, sharing that she will take a social media break while she processes this heartbreak. Jason posted pictures of the couple together stating how heartbroken he is.

Kaitlyn Bristowe first entered Bachelor Nation on The Bachelor in 2015, where she dated Chris Soules. Following her elimination, she became the Bachelorette and got engaged to Shawn Booth, whom she broke up with after three years. Jason Tartick was on Becca Kufrin’s season of The Bachelorette.

Kaitlyn and Jason met in 2018 while filming an episode of her podcast, Off the Vine, and began dating in 2019. They got engaged in 2021, and now two years later, they have decided to part ways.
