You know Raven Gates and Adam Gottschalk from Season 4 of Bachelor in Paradise. Back in 2017, they met on the beaches of Mexico. While they did find love with each other on the show, Gottschalk ended up not proposing in the final episode.

At that time, they were both living in different cities super far apart, and the pair genuinely felt like they needed more time to let their relationship grow even further. Fast forward to 2022. Gates and Gottschalk welcomed their first child together, son Gates. Fast forward just a bit more to 2023. They have now welcomed their second son together, Max Asa!

Congratulations to Raven Gates and Adam Gottschalk! He’s truly adorable!

Recently, Raven posted a Q&A box on her Instagram doing an AMA (Ask Me Anything). Someone asked her what the original name they had picked out for Max that they claimed didn’t fit him. Here’s what she had to say:

"We didn’t have a name we absolutely loved but we had decided on Asa Jordan. (Same initials as Adam & same middle name as Adam) but after we saw him something BIZARRE happened. Adam’s dad ALWAYS wanted us to name him Max…my mom, my dad, Adams mom mentioned the name Max. (No one really knew Adams dad wanted Max as his name) it was all a major coincidence…So I waited 2 days in the hospital…bc I wanted to make sure That I liked Max despite everyone else loving that name…he (Adam’s dad) told me last year during December “I know Max is the right decision."

Needless to say that naming their second child wasn’t the easiest decision to make, but it ultimately ended up like fate when everyone was mentioning one name that they had no idea that someone else in the family already loved with all of their heart.

Many people were also asking many questions about Max and Gates’ middle names. As we all know, Max’s middle name is Asa and Gates’ middle name is Zev. They both stated that they wanted some Hebrew middle names since Gottschalk is of Jewish descent. King Asa also means physician/healer, which is so cute. Zev was Adam’s great-grandpa’s name so that middle name for Gates is a great way to honor a man they never met.

We’ve got tons of little Bachelor Nation babies running around now. With Max Asa, that officially makes 26, including Becca and Thomas’ baby boy, that has yet to be born, and Clare Crawley’s baby, that has yet to be born via surrogate with her husband (not a member of BN), Ryan Dawkins.
