The Bachelorette Season 20, Episode 5: Best and worst moments
By Julia Wagner
Monday night’s episode of The Bachelorette had Charity Lawson and her six remaining men headed to New Orleans! We had a beer-fueled half-marathon, a hilarious two-on-one date in the swamp, and of course, many hurt feelings and a lot of angst.
So, why is this season so short? How is it already the week before hometowns? Usually, hometowns are episode 8; this season, they are episode 6. So the whole season will be two weeks shorter? Sad!
Let’s get to the best and worst moments of episode 5!
The Bachelorette Season 20, Episode 5: Best moment: Dotun’s date
Charity and Dotun have one-on-one and get to run an early morning half marathon around the city!
This was such a feel-good date and made me want to go to New Orleans. They seemed like a real couple, which I can also say about her and Joey, but it almost seems more believable with Dotun.
They’re just so precious! If seeing them together could make me want to run a half marathon, that’s saying something.
The Bachelorette Season 20, Episode 5: Worst moment: Sean’s visit to Charity’s room
Oh gosh. This always happens the week before hometowns. There’s a contestant that we all know is not making it, who hasn’t gotten one-on-one time but has been led to believe they still have a chance.
Sean decides to visit Charity’s room after she doesn’t hand out the two-on-one rose. There is no way he wasn’t encouraged to do this and made to believe he still had a chance.
He seemed so confident that they could still work out, even though she looked like she would rather be anywhere else when he told her he was falling in love. This was very painful to watch.
Farewell, Sean. I’m sure we will see you in Paradise!
