3. Fruits of love

On their one-on-one date, Xavier’s first on The Bachelorette Season 20, he and Charity toured the town of Stevenson, Washington trying all the local delicacies, including some spicy food. Then the couple made pear jam the old-fashioned way, with their feet.

The two shared more food before taking a train ride through the scenic countryside. Here they talked and got to know one another deeper. Charity has a lot of great connections on The Bachelorette Season 20.

That night the couple bonded over a candlelit dinner. However, Xavier reminds Charity of her past and loyalty issues with other men. She brought up the engagement immediately, and Xavier calmed her nerves about his commitment.

Xavier opened up to Charity on this date and talked about how he wants to be there for his partner and wants every opportunity to take care of them. He explained his mother’s health condition and how that motivated him to get his Ph.D. to help others like his mom. Because of his efforts, he received the rose from Charity to secure his spot on The Bachelorette Season 20 for at least another week.

4. Boiling Point

After Brayden was sent home earlier that week, the men relaxed as they thought the drama was past them and they would have a nice cocktail party. Little did they know, Brayden lurked around, waiting for his chance to win Charity back. This was not met well by the other men, who were ready to have Brayden out of the mansion.

Brayden interrupted John’s time with Charity to talk with her. Charity took his thoughts under advisement but sent him away to make her decision. After their conversation, Brayden wouldn’t address the rest of the men, which started an argument that continued outside. Afterward, Charity cut the cocktail party short and proceeded to the rose ceremony.

5. Rose ceremony

Charity acknowledged the nine remaining men on The Bachelorette Season 20 and thanked them for being great men who are there for the right reasons. With Dotun, Joey, and Xavier already having roses, Charity gave out three more. Aaron received the first rose, followed by Tanner. Sean received the final rose between Michael, Caleb, John, and Sean. This meant that the other three would be going home.

This was a tough goodbye as the three men felt deeply for Charity and uplifted the remaining men. This was a sad goodbye for the remaining men as well because, without Brayden, they could build a stronger bond. The teasers for the rest of the season show that Charity may fall in love with a couple of men instead of just one, and then men start to doubt an engagement at the end of it all.
