The Bachelorette Season 20 has officially begun!
We have finally made it to night one of Charity Lawson’s journey on The Bachelorette Season 20! Kicking things off at the mansion, Charity is scheduled to meet 25 men on her journey, but how many will last past night one?
A surprise awaits Charity at the mansion as her brother is there with her going undercover to get the inside scoop on the men. Will this work to Charity’s benefit or detriment? Let’s discover what happened on night one of The Bachelorette Season 20!

1. The night it all began
Charity opened the show by retelling her last journey with Zach Shallcross on The Bachelor Season 27. Now she is ready to embark on her journey to find true love. Idolizing her parent’s successful 40-year relationship, she hopes to find someone that loves the same way she does. She said there was no manual to the show, and she is just going to be Charity. May we finally get an authentic experience on The Bachelorette?
Aaron B., the 29-year-old software salesman from San Diego, California, was the first lucky man to meet Charity. Next out of the limo was Josh, the 28-year-old Harvard graduate from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Joey, the 27-year-old tennis pro from Hawaii, was next.
The limo parade continued with Warwick, the 27-year-old construction manager from Nashville, Tennessee, and Xavier, the 27-year-old biomedical scientist from Carrboro, North Carolina. Caleb, Arthur, Khalid, and Nic followed as Charity took time with every man.
John Henry showed up in a divers mask since he’s an underwater welder, but the rest of the intros up to this point were rather lackluster. Chris showed off his talents as a world record holder in the standing jump. He did a backflip to try to impress The Bachelorette.
2. Bring on the men
The next limo arrived with more potential suitors for The Bachelorette, Charity. First out of this group was Brayden, the 24-year-old San Diego, California travel nurse. Spencer, a 32-year-old medical sales director from Moorpark, California, poked his head out next, and boy, was it awkward. I would not have been shocked if he had sent him home after the first introduction.
Cowboy Caleb Balgaard walked out of the limo next and put on a show. Caleb is a 24-year-old pro wrestler from Orlando, Florida. Next up were a few tall men, which seemed to be their one quality. Charity met the rest of the men from the limo as they adorned her with jewelry, props, and tequila shots. Then Dotun, the 30-year-old integrative medicine specialist from Brooklyn, New York, walked out of the limo and was a giant of a man.
Then Jesse proposed the first twist of the shower with one additional man joining the show. It was someone Charity had already met and had a history with. That person just so happened to be her brother Nehemiah! The Bachelorette was joined by her best friend, who went undercover to get the inside scoop on all the men.
