Trista Sutter, former and the very first Bachelorette, is spilling some major tea about things that happened while filming her season. After being a runner-up on The Bachelor Season 1, she got to be the lead in 2003 (that was 20 years ago, gasp!).

She met and fell in love with Ryan Sutter, to whom she got engaged and married. He is the father of her children, and they make up one of the handfuls of successful couples to emerge from the franchise. As fans know, this is a rare commodity nowadays.

But while Trista may have left with a ring on her finger, she did not leave with much of her wardrobe, according to PEOPLE.

Trista Sutter dishes about her wardrobe on The Bachelorette

In any case, Trista Sutter was recently on the Almost Famous OGs Bachelor podcast with Bachelor alumni Bob Guiney and Ben Flajnik. According to Flajnik, he still has a lot of the suits he wore on the show. This reminded Trista that this was not the case for her–she, in fact, didn’t keep a lot of her wardrobe.

“I had a connection to Saks, I ended up making a deal with Saks Fifth Avenue and went shopping.” Sutter shared, “This [was] my own thing, like it had nothing to do with producers. I get all this stuff, and I’m all prepared and halfway through, I’m going in my closet, and I’m like, ‘Wait, where are my clothes?’ and [the producers] are like, ‘We’ve been selling them’… Selling them!”

Yikes, selling them?! Whatever is the reason, ABC?!

This is my first time hearing something like this, but I cannot say I’m surprised. Producers have done many wild things over the years which are much worse than selling someone’s clothes, so this probably didn’t come across their radar as inappropriate or rude.

PEOPLE contacted producers to confirm what Trista Sutter revealed, but there has been no response. Given how long ago it was, I am not sure what they would even say, but I’d be interested to see their reply.

Selling clothes? I’m still processing this.
