The Bachelor Season 27 concluded last night, and it was a doozy. The events that transpired had everyone scratching their heads and feeling a wave of disappointment over Zach Shallcross’ actions.

Honestly, I have no idea what he was thinking. The fact that he asked Kaity to marry him is fine, but all his actions that preceded it were absolutely horrendous. Let’s start with the fact that he strung Gabi along when he knew, without a doubt, that he wanted to be with Kaity. It was painstakingly obvious to anyone that was watching.

Why, Zach, why?

To make matters worse, the final date with him and Gabi had no audio on the broadcast. It was so sad, especially because we all knew what was coming. Poor Gabi’s final date on The Bachelor Season 27 got the silent film treatment, which topped off a sad ending for who appears to be an amazing woman.

Why where there no sound during Gabi’s final date on The Bachelor Season 27?

After Zach’s family met with both women, he took them out for one final outing in Thailand before the proposal. Kaity’s date went well (no shocker there), and then it was Gabi’s turn. Sadly, as the commercials ended, Gabi’s date started with no sound. We watched the couple meet up, hop on the horses, and ride down the beach in complete silence. It was a bit ominous considering what was to come–silence mimicking Zach’s inability to share how he was actually feeling with Gabi.

This lasted for about five minutes, at which point ABC cut to a commercial (which did have audio). When the broadcast returned, the audio returned, and we could continue witnessing the trainwreck that was Zach’s inability to admit he knew he was going with Kaity.

If you watched The Bachelor Season 27 finale, then you know how everything came to an end. I am happy for Kaity and Zach, but my heart goes out to Gabi, who really got the crappy end of the entire situation. I think she should have been the Bachelorette (even though I love Charity!).

But alls well that ends well!
