The Bachelor Season 27, Episode 11 recap: The Big Finale

3. Meet the Family

Back in Thailand, Gabi and Kaity are ready for this big week on The Bachelor Season 27, and the potential to meet Zach’s family. After hopefully the last shower scene, Zach met his family and recapped what happened last week during Fantasy Suites.

Without going into too much detail, he revealed that he made the wrong decision and how it came back to haunt him later that week. He revealed that Gabi would be the first woman to meet his family if she chose to, as the teasers made it seem like she wouldn’t meet his family.

After the rose ceremony, Gabi felt very down as Zach described what happened during their fantasy suite date using words like regret, failure, and let down. Not the words you want to hear as the woman on that date. He has tried to reassure her that he does not regret what happened, but his actions, and other words, indicate otherwise.

Before meeting his parents, Gabi wanted to have a conversation with Zach about this. His answer or reaction would determine whether she met his family or left The Bachelor. She told him how she felt hearing all the negative words from the rose ceremony about what transpired between those two. Zach reiterated that when he said he was a failure, it was on himself and thinking that he could set rules and parameters for love.

Gabi noted that she heard him but told him she was feeling very guilty and was almost an accessory to a crime. She asked Zach if he regretted their decision, but he said he did not and never wanted her to feel like it was her fault. He noted that he felt real love for her and that that moment was huge for them, and he didn’t want to take anything away from that.

In the end, Gabi elected to meet his family. She met with Zach’s dad first, and the two talked about family and overcoming tough times. Zach’s dad brought up his son’s near-death experience at birth, and the two connected over going through tough times. Zach met with his mom next, letting him know how he felt about Gabi. All she wanted was for him to find his person in the end.

Gabi met with his sisters next and solidified her feelings for Zach. His sister noted that Zach tends to fill everyone else’s cup but sometimes forgets to fill his own. They hope he can find someone to be there when his cup runs dry. Gabi may be the best person for that since she has relied on Zach for help when she has faced anxiety and stress during this process.

They walked away from this meet and greet feeling ready for the next step and could see a future together. Gabi was overflowing with positivity leaving the date feeling like he could be the one.

4. Kaity’s Turn

It was Kaity’s turn on The Bachelor Season 27 to meet Zach’s family, and his mother pulled him first. Kaity got emotional while talking with Zach’s mom when asked about what would have happened if it wasn’t for her at the end of it all. His sisters asked the same question, and Kaity got emotional again. She noted how she didn’t think she would find someone so amazing. Kaity also talked about how she could see herself as part of their family since she didn’t have the most traditional family growing up.

She met with his father to cap off the date, and his dad reiterated that he wanted Zach to find his best friend but also wanted his spouse to do the same. His dad gave the same advice he gave to Gabi about how relationships are built through tough times, not great times. Kaity got emotional again but was able to bond with his dad about not having great male role models growing up, and that absence makes them stronger.

Kaity and Zach shared a special moment after meeting his family, where she reiterated that she is really in love with Zach and wants to spend the rest of her life with him. Meeting his family solidified her feelings for Zach as it did for Gabi. Sounds like both women are all-in on Zach, but who will return the favor?
